"The Enemy Within" Part 4
Terminator: The Enemy Within #4 (Dark Horse)
Script: Ian Edington
Art: Vince Giarrano
Cover by Simon Bisley
February 1992

The final showdown with C890.L.

Read the complete summary of The Enemy Within at the Terminator wiki.

Didja Notice?

On page 2, Hollister finally uses the future gun he picked up in "Tempest" Part 4 (dropped by Dudley during the shootout in that story).

Notice on page 4 that the grenade gun used by Sloane no longer has the LAPD evidence tag seen on it in "The Enemy Within" Part 3. I suppose he removed it so it wouldn't be in the way.

On page 7, wouldn't trooper Hooks be immediately panicked at the sight of Dudley, whose exposed robotic eye immediately identifies him as a Terminator? Yet he accepts Dudley's presence without question.

On page 11, a SWAT team member is seen outside the Cyberdyne plant. SWAT (Special Weapons And Tactics) is a special forces team of the police department.

As Mary drops C890.L into the vat of acid, she pronounces, "You're terminated, sucker." This is almost the same as what Sarah Connor exclaimed as she activated the hydraulic press on top of the T-800 in The Terminator, "You're terminated, fucker!" Obviously, Mary's language was cleaned up for the comic book reading public!

At the end of this issue, the FBI agent known as Miles (last seen in "The Enemy Within" Part 1) now has the recovered debris of C890.L and the data disk.

At the end of the issue, Dudley's fate is left unrevealed, but dialog seems to hint that only Mary and Sloane are left alive. However, Dudley is seen still alive in the next mini-series, Endgame.

Unanswered Questions

At the end of the issue, Mary and Sloane seem to think all of the Terminator debris possessed by Cyberdyne has been destroyed. But they don't know about the Terminator head (that of HC875.S) sent to Dr. Hollister by C890.L at the end of "Tempest" Part 4. There is also possibly the arm of the T-800 from The Terminator, last seen in the hands of Hollister as well, earlier in that issue. So what became of them?
