Didja Notice?
1999: When the ambulance comes for his
injured and unconscious mother, John tells the paramedics
her name is Sarah Hamilton. Obviously, writer Alan Grant
chose the name in reference to the actress who played Sarah
in
The Terminator
and
Judgment Day, Linda Hamilton.
1999: It's a bit confusing, but on page 6, it seems as if
John is looking up information about his mother in the
hospital database, but he is actually entering the false
data into the records computer in order to convince the
Terminator that Sarah is dead.
1999: When the Terminator sees the
hospital records screen indicating that Sarah Connor arrived
dead on arrival, he states, "Secondary objective achieved.
Pursuing primary objective--John Connor." This indicates his
programmed secondary objective was terminating Sarah.
1999: On page 18, panel 2, the taxi
driver sees the damaged cyborg approaching and says, "If
that ain't Rudy Giuliani, it's the next worst thing!"
Giuliani was the mayor of New York City from 1994-2001. The
thing is, there are four small, wavy underline marks under
portions of the name Rudy Giuliani in the speech balloon. I
suspect that some other name was initially written there and
was changed at the last minute. If so, what name was in
there? Why was it changed?
2030: A very odd type of Terminator is
seen on page 19. Presumably, it is a result of the machines'
recent experimentation with life forms and what Norden
states as "...the machines have become fascinated with
life!"
