Terminator: 1984
was a 3-issue mini-series published by Dark Horse Comics. It
is the sequel to the
Terminator: 2029
mini-series.
Didja Notice?
An embryo (that of John Connor) is seen in the reflection of
the Terminator's eye on the cover.

On page 5, Kyle appears to eat an entire strawberry with the calyx
(green, leafy part on top) still attached!
In this issue, Ben is wearing a t-shirt with the logo
"Bushwood CC" on the left breast. This may be a reference to
Bushwood Country Club from the 1980 comedy film
Caddyshack.
The rifle Kyle grabs off the wall on page 7 appears to be an
AK-47. Ramon also appears to be firing one at the T-800.
The T-800 appears to be firing an M16 on page 8.
The man killed by the T-800 on page 8 appears to be Ramon,
Sarah's friend introduced in
"1984" Part 1.
On page 16, Kyle's dialog to Sarah is similar to what he told
her in
Judgment Day, from the
words of John. "You're strong, Sarah. You're stronger than I
ever could have imagined."
Kyle Reese dies on page 17.
On page 20, Sarah and Ben blow up a building owned by Raven
Technologies. This appears to be a fictitious company.
On page 22, panel 7, a college student is wearing a UCLA
sweatshirt. UCLA is
University of
California, Los Angeles.
The end of the story has Sarah, young John, and Ben living
together some years after the events of
The Terminator, but
before
Judgment Day. The fact
that the remains of the smashed T-800 from the end of
The Terminator are all
destroyed except for the arm and microchip seen later in
Judgment Day suggests
that this story leads into that film. If so, what happened
to Ben? Why does Sarah never mention him or the
rescued-and-later-killed Kyle in
Judgment Day?
